As your car climbs the "up hill" corridor, a few new zombies welcome you on the left before crossing under the Falling Beam. Signs that state "Danger - Zombie Area" are prominent and serve as a warning of what's to come.

If you're worried about getting attacked, fear not. All of the zombies are caged behind tall, barbed-wire fence. It's a restricted area, of course, until the reanimated corpses breach their barrier.

One of the ride's original stunts from 1964 has been relocated this year to make way for an overhauled room dedicated to the undead... zombies. Now, instead of worrying about a stack of barrels falling on you, you'll need to worry about a dozen brain-eating zombies attacking you as your coffin carriage creeps by.

Watch and listen to the Fenced Zombie Scene in action.

The "Fenced Zombie Scene" was obtained from Unit 70 Studies out of Columbus, OH. Some of the other random zombie figures were obtained from Distortions Unlimited. Collectively, these creatures make for a truly hair-raising experience. With the addition of the new zombies, Gloom House now boasts a family of nearly 75 creatures spanning well over 50 years.

There are additional plans to enhance the area after the 2016 season ends, so stay tuned to future updates. For anyone curious about the future outlook for the Falling Barrels, you'll learn as you read on.
